My intentions
I am so guilty of upgraditis. This strip touches on the insatiable fervour that our tech-crazy culture lives in. It isn't long before you begin to substitute stuff for true identity and relationships. I am sure that I am guilty of this.
I have suggested iPods in the title, but the idea applies to lots of tech-related stuff. The whole industry lives on the principle of upgrading. It is perversely true that once you spend out on a digital camera it is virtually worthless and unresellable. I have had a few printers where they are just 'not worth repairing'. Funny and sad.
Style notes
I am very pleased to have started using Artrage properly for the first time and get back into a more drawn scratchy style of image. Below are my rough notes leading up to the final composition.
